UI Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a freelance UI Designer starting in January, but with some flexibility as to the start time.

You will lead the design of menu screens and UI flow for COCOON. The UI should be minimalist with a simple aesthetic and work across multiple platforms. The work will be carried out in collaboration with our art director, game director and graphical artists.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience designing UI for video games
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about your work
  • Capable of working independently and taking a leading role
  • Capable of creating UI within a wide range of styles
  • Experience with a full UI design cycle
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on your work
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

VFX Artist

Job Description

We are looking for a VFX Artist to help us finish our sci-fi puzzle adventure COCOON, releasing in 2023 on major consoles and Steam. Published by Annapurna Interactive.

We are looking for someone who has an excellent eye for visual aesthetics and a solid experience working with VFX for video games.

You will be joining our team in Copenhagen starting as soon as possible, working in close collaboration with another VFX artist, our art director and our game director.

You will be creating visual effects of various types - from ones supporting gameplay mechanics to ones that help build specific atmospheres. This could be various types of impacts on different materials, explosion-like effects or disintegration of physical objects.

Skills & Requirements

  • A strong set of skills aimed at creating visual effects
  • Capable of creating stunning particle effects in Unity and being able to integrate them in-engine
  • Able to work from an already established outset of text-based shaders and animations
  • Capable of working independently and taking on technically challenging tasks
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about your work
  • Experience in the games industry working as a VFX artist
  • Modeling and animation skills is a big plus
